Yoshinogari Ruins is a historic park located in Yoshinogari Town, Kanzaki District, Saga Prefecture, centered around the remains of a large moated settlement representative of the Yayoi period. Excavations have restored the moat, elevated hall, pit dwellings, and storehouse remains, all of which are set within the spacious grounds. The park's distinctive feature is that it allows visitors to experience the lifestyles, rituals, and settlement structure of the Yayoi to Kofun periods.

Since its discovery, it has attracted attention both from within Japan and overseas as an important archaeological site, and the excavated items are preserved and open to the public in an exhibition facility. The restored buildings and the observation paths with excellent views give a good idea of the scale of the settlement at the time and its defensive structures (moats and fences), making it popular not only with history fans but also with families and school tours.

• congestion:During Golden Week, summer vacation, consecutive holidays, and weekends, the park tends to be crowded with families and group tours. The parking lot can fill up especially on free admission days and event days, so we recommend using public transportation and arriving early.
• Manners:The ruins are historical sites of great academic value. Please observe basic etiquette, such as not touching or entering excavated remains or reconstructed buildings, following directions on signs and fences, and taking your trash home or disposing of it in designated areas.
• photo shoot:Generally, viewing and photography are permitted, but photography may be prohibited for exhibits and special exhibits. Flying drones is generally prohibited, so please check in advance.
• Barrier-free:The park is well maintained, but there are some areas with steps and unpaved paths. If you are using a wheelchair, it is a good idea to check the facilities, such as the entrance to the exhibition hall and toilets, in advance.
