  • Kitamuki Kannon (Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture)

    Overview (History, Features, and Attractions) Kitamuki Kannon Temple is a Kannon hall located near the center of Bessho Onsen in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. It is a temple and shrine dedicated to the Bodhisattva Kannon, a deity worshipped as its principal image. As its name suggests, the temple is characterized by its north-facing principal image, making it a counterpart to Zenkoji Temple (Nagano City), which faces south.
