    Overview (History, Features, and Attractions) The Atomic Bomb Dome (official name: Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Atomic Bomb Dome)) is the remains of the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, designed in 1915 by Czech architect Jan Letzel. It is the hypocenter of the atomic bomb dropped on August 6, 1945 (Showa 20).
