Sarobetsu Marsh (Horonobe Town, Hokkaido)
Overview (History, Features, and Attractions) Sarobetsu Wetland is a vast low-lying marshland that spreads across northern Hokkaido, centered around the town of Horonobe. It is a subarctic marshland within Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park, and is home to high-lying marshes formed by years of peat accumulation and endemic wetland plant communities.
