  • Kyoto Imperial Palace (Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture)

    Overview (History, Features, and Attractions) Kyoto Imperial Palace was the former residence of the Japanese Emperor and is located in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Following the relocation of the capital to Heian-kyo in 794, it served as the center of the Imperial Court for many years, and was the site of ceremonies, imperial visits, and daily government affairs until the capital was moved to Tokyo in the Meiji era.

    Overview (History, Features, and Attractions) Seimei Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Abe no Seimei, a famous onmyoji (magician) from the Heian period. Located in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, it is said to have been built on the site of Abe no Seimei's former residence and has attracted worshippers since shortly after his death (during the Heian period).

Located in Kyoto's Kamigyo Ward, it is said to have been founded during the Heian period to appease vengeful spirits, and has since attracted many worshippers praying for academic success and passing exams.
