Takachiho Gorge is a scenic valley with a deep V-shaped valley, cliffs with columnar joints, and clear streams, and is symbolized by the 17m Manai Falls. access
It takes about two hours by car from the center of Miyazaki City, and by public transport, you can take a local bus from JR Nobeoka Station or Miyazaki Airport to Takachiho. The gorge is within walking distance from the center of town, but bus services are limited.
Estimated stay
Walking through the valley and boat ride takes 2-4 hours. If you want to see the night kagura performance, it takes half a day to 1 hour.
