Hanshin Koshien Stadium (Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture) is Japan's leading baseball stadium, opened in 1924, and is one of the oldest in the country. While it is beloved as the home ground of the professional baseball team, the Hanshin Tigers, it is also known as a mecca for high school baseball, hosting the spring Senbatsu High School Baseball Tournament and the summer All-Japan High School Baseball Championship (Summer Koshien), attracting a wide range of fans across generations. Its greatest attractions are its brick exterior, unique cheering culture, and passionate stands, making it a popular tourist destination not only for watching baseball games but also for enjoying the historical scenery.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Nearest station: About a 5-minute walk from Koshien Station on the Hanshin Railway (there is clear guidance from the station to the stadium entrance).
- From Osaka: Take the Hanshin Main Line directly from Osaka (Umeda). The travel time will vary depending on the type of train and transfers, but it will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes on the Hanshin Rapid Line.
- From Kobe: Take the Hanshin Main Line directly from Kobe (Sannomiya), the journey time is approximately 20 to 30 minutes (depending on the type of train).
- Car/Parking: Parking in the area is limited and tends to fill up on match days, so we recommend using public transportation. Traffic congestion on surrounding roads is expected during large events.
- From the airport: Public transportation is easily accessible from Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport, but transfers are required, so please allow plenty of time for your trip.
- Barrier-free access: Wheelchair accessible seats, dedicated pathways, elevators, and other facilities are available, but the number of seats is limited, so it is best to check with the team or stadium in advance to ensure availability.
Estimated stay (estimated time required)
- Watching professional baseball: Games generally last around three hours (longer if there are extra innings). Please allow plenty of time before and after the game, taking into account entrance and exit times and crowds.
- Watching high school baseball games: During the tournament, each game will take about 2.5 to 3 hours. If you are watching multiple games, it is best to plan on spending half a day to a full day.
- Koshien Historical Museum Tour: A tour of the museum takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes. If you want to take your time exploring the area around the stadium, it's a good idea to set aside 1 to 2 hours.

- Shukugawa Park: A riverside park known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. Perfect for a stroll in season.
- Dining district along the Hanshin Electric Railway line: There are many restaurants where you can enjoy local cuisine around Koshien Station and along the Hanshin line.
Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Tickets: Tickets for popular games and during the Koshien tournament sell out quickly. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance (check official sales sites and various ticket agencies).
- Crowds: Stations and surrounding roads will be extremely congested before, during, and after the start and end of the match. Plan your travels with plenty of time. If you want to avoid the crowds on your way home, eat nearby or expect to wait for several minutes.
- Manners: Please refrain from standing, blocking aisles, or obstructing other spectators' views. Even if you are passionate about cheering, please be mindful of your behavior.
- Drinking and Smoking: Drinking and smoking are permitted only in designated areas within the stadium. Please check the stadium's information beforehand regarding prohibited and dangerous items.
- Weather/Season: Summer can be extremely hot, so be sure to take precautions against heatstroke (hats, water, sunscreen, etc.). In the event of rain, the match may be cancelled or postponed, so please check official announcements.
- Photography/filming: While photography is generally permitted while watching the event, please avoid using flash or other methods that may disturb others. Permission is required for commercial use and drone photography.
- Facility opening hours: The Koshien History Museum and stadium tours have different opening hours and closing days, so please check the official website in advance for the latest information.
