Akashi Park is a vast urban park in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. At its center are the ruins of Akashi Castle, built during the Edo period, with the castle's stone walls, moat, and tower base still remaining. The park is home to green spaces including the castle ruins, lawn plazas, playground equipment, sports facilities, and gardens, making it a popular tourist spot as well as a place of relaxation for local residents. In addition to being able to enjoy the changing nature of the seasons, the park also offers seasonal attractions such as cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in the spring, autumn leaves in the fall, and summer events.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Train: The nearest station is Akashi Station on the JR Kobe Line (JR Kobe Line/Sanyo Main Line). The park entrance is a few minutes' walk from the station. It is also close to Sanyo Akashi Station on the Sanyo Electric Railway, making it easily accessible.
- By car: There is paid parking around the park, but the number of spaces is limited, so when it is crowded we recommend using a nearby paid parking lot or public transportation.
- Bus: City bus routes are available. Tourists generally use the train as it is a convenient walk from the station.

- Short walk: 30 minutes to 1 hour (just a quick look around the castle ruins and gardens)

- Uontana Shopping Street: A market street where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local delicacies (Akashiyaki).
- Maiko Park and Maiko Marine Promenade: If you go a little further, you can also visit the Maiko seaside area.

- Crowds: The area is extremely crowded during the cherry blossom season in spring, consecutive holidays, and events (such as summer festivals and fireworks displays). Please check transportation and parking options in advance.
- Manners: Parks are public spaces. Please be sure to take your trash with you or dispose of it in designated areas. Use of fire (such as barbecues) may be prohibited or restricted, so please follow the rules.
- Pets: If you are bringing pets, please be sure to keep them on a leash and clean up any waste. Some areas may be restricted.
- Facility use: Reservations and fees may be required for use of facilities such as tennis courts. Please check city guidelines before use.
- Weather and season: Take precautions against UV rays and heat in summer, and cold weather in winter. There are some slippery areas on rainy days.
- Nighttime safety: Some parks are open 24 hours a day, but there are fewer people around at night, so please be mindful of security and avoid dark areas.
