It's about 15 minutes from Kyoto Station on the JR Sagano Line, and can also be accessed by the Hankyu Arashiyama Line and Keifuku Electric Railway (Arashiyama Line). It's easy to get around on foot from the station.

You can tour the main spots in 2 to 4 hours, but if you include meals and a ride on the trolley train, we recommend a half-day to a full day.

Points to note
It gets very crowded with tourists, so it is best to stroll around in the early morning or evening. Please be careful when walking on rainy days as the bamboo forest and stone steps can be slippery.
