- Climate changes in the mountains: Murodo and Mikurigaike Pond are located at an altitude of approximately 2,400m. The weather can change suddenly and temperatures are low, so be sure to bring warm clothing and rain gear. You will also need to protect yourself from strong ultraviolet rays and cold winds.
- Risk of altitude sickness: Due to the high altitude, you may experience symptoms of altitude sickness such as shortness of breath and headaches. Please do not push yourself too hard and pay close attention to your physical condition.
- Busy periods: Golden Week to summer vacation and the autumn foliage season are particularly busy. We recommend making reservations and arranging your Alpine Route tickets in advance.
- Bathing etiquette: Please observe the rules of public bathing (wash your body before entering, do not put towels in the bathtub, use the bath quietly, etc.). Some facilities may have bathing restrictions (such as whether tattoos are allowed or not, mixed bathing, etc.), so please check in advance.
- Nature conservation: Contact with or collection of alpine plants or wild animals (such as ptarmigans) is prohibited. Please follow the rules, such as not venturing off the trails and always taking your trash with you.
- Payment and Facilities: Because it is a mountainous area, credit cards and electronic payments may not be accepted. It is a good idea to prepare cash and necessary supplies (drinks, snacks, thermal packs, etc.).
