Omogo Valley (Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture)
Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Omogokei is a scenic spot where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley carved by the Omogogawa River, which flows through Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture. The clear streams flowing from the mountains of the Ishizuchi mountain range have eroded the granite and bedrock, creating a series of strangely shaped rocks, pools, and waterfalls, creating a deep V-shaped valley with crystal clear water. A favorite among locals since ancient times, the valley is attractive for its changing seasonal appearance. The vibrant colors of the new greenery and autumn leaves are particularly popular, attracting many photography enthusiasts and hikers.
Highlights
