Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Aomori Prefectural Tourist and Products Center ASPAM is a landmark tourist facility located in the Aomori Port Bay Area in Aomori City. Its distinctive triangular exterior is reminiscent of the sails and pyramids towering over the harbor, and is easily recognizable even from afar. Inside, the complex combines tourist information, a sales corner for prefectural products, restaurants, an event space, an observation deck, and more, making it a popular base for "seeing, tasting, and buying" Aomori.
In addition to selling local specialties such as apples, seafood (scallops, squid, etc.), Nebuta-related goods, and crafts, the museum also offers tourist information from all over the prefecture, making it convenient for first-time visitors to Aomori. There are also displays and sales related to seasonal foods and festivals, as well as a tasting and sampling corner, allowing you to experience the charms of Aomori in a short space of time.
