Minoo Falls is a waterfall with a drop of approximately 33 meters located in Minoo City, Osaka Prefecture, and is a representative scenic spot in Minoo Park. It has long been known as a place of training and pilgrimage, and was frequently featured in songs and paintings during the Edo period. Surrounded by lush natural forests, the area offers beautiful scenery throughout the seasons, making it one of the Kansai region's top tourist spots, attracting many visitors, especially during the autumn foliage season. The area around the waterfall is dotted with walking paths, observation spaces, traditional teahouses, and souvenir shops, making it an attractive spot to enjoy a casual stroll through nature and culinary culture. There is no admission fee, and visitors are free to explore the park as they please.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Train: Take the Hankyu Minoh Line to Minoh Station. It takes about 14-17 minutes by direct train from Umeda (Hankyu Osaka Umeda). From Minoh Station, it takes about 30-45 minutes (2.8-3km) to walk along the promenade to the waterfall.
- Bus: Direct buses to Minoh may operate from major JR and Hankyu stations, but please check the schedule in advance as the number of buses is limited.
- By car: Accessible from the Meishin Expressway and Hanshin Expressway. There is a paid parking lot around Minoh Park, but the number of spaces is limited and it tends to get crowded, especially during the autumn foliage season and on weekends, so we recommend using public transportation.
- Walking route tips: From Minoo Station, take the riverside promenade and follow the single path to the waterfall. The path is well paved and maintained, but can be slippery in places when it rains.

- Round trip walk only: Approx. 1-1.5 hours round trip from the station to the waterfall (approx. 30-45 minutes one way plus time to visit the waterfall).
- A leisurely stroll + a break at a teahouse: 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
- If you also use nearby facilities (insect museum, hot springs, lunch): Half a day to a full day (approximately 3 to 6 hours).

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: The area is especially crowded during the autumn foliage season (mid- to late November), weekends, and public holidays. We recommend using public transportation and visiting early in the morning or on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
- Clothing and shoes: The walking trails are generally well maintained, but the stone steps and wet areas can be slippery. Please wear comfortable shoes (sneakers or trekking shoes).
- Weather and dangers: After heavy rain, there is a risk of flooding and falling rocks, so if the weather is bad, do not push yourself and turn back or refrain from visiting.
- Manners: Please follow the rules to protect the environment, such as taking your trash with you, not damaging nature or plants, keeping pets on a leash, and no open flames or barbecues.
- Photography/Drones: Flying drones around waterfalls and within parks may be prohibited. Please check in advance if you are planning to do commercial or large-scale photography.
- Wild animals and insects: There are many mosquitoes and insects in the summer, so please take insect repellent measures. Do not feed wild animals.
