Akiyoshido Cave (Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture) — Overview (History, Features, and Attractions)
Akiyoshido Cave, located in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is one of Japan's largest limestone caves and a representative tourist cave that stretches underground in the Akiyoshidai Karst Plateau. Huge underground spaces, stalactites, and underground rivers can be seen, and its sense of scale and beauty of form are its greatest attractions.
