Oga Aquarium GAO is a community-based aquarium located along the Sea of Japan on the Oga Peninsula in Akita Prefecture. Its theme is Oga's rich coastal waters, and it features exhibits centered on marine life found locally. It is a popular hub for education, conservation activities, and tourism promotion. The aquarium's attractive location overlooks the Sea of Japan, allowing visitors to observe the seasonal changes in the ocean and the ecology of local fish and marine animals up close.

- Nearest train station: JR Oga Line, Oga Station (it is common to take a bus or taxi from the nearest station).
- Bus: You can access the area by bus from Oga Station or the Akita City area. The number of buses and schedules vary depending on the season, so we recommend checking in advance.
- By car: Approximately 40-60 minutes from central Akita via the national highway (depending on road conditions). Parking is available (limited space).
- From the airport: It is about a 60-minute drive from Akita Airport. Renting a car is convenient.

- Viewing the museum only: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours (approximately 2 hours if you want to take your time looking at the exhibits).
