Negishi Forest Park is a lush urban park located in Yokohama's Naka Ward. Originally part of the grounds of the Negishi Racecourse, which has been in operation since the Meiji period, the park is characterized by its topography and historical remains that still retain the appearance of the racecourse. The landscape, interwoven with spacious lawns and groves of trees, is perfect for strolling and picnics, and the park is a popular local recreational spot where visitors can enjoy nature throughout the seasons. Historical structures from the old racecourse (such as the old grandstands) have been preserved, making it a spot where you can experience the local culture and history.
