Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)

Tobu Zoo (Miyashiro-machi, Minamisaitama-gun, Saitama Prefecture) is a leisure facility that combines a zoo and an amusement park. Its greatest appeal is that it can be enjoyed throughout the day, with a wide variety of animal exhibits, a variety of attractions ranging from family-friendly to thrilling, and a large pool that is open in the summer. In addition to areas that focus on interacting with and observing animals, shows and events are held regularly, and there is also plenty of seasonal fun to be enjoyed (cherry blossoms, illuminations, the summer pool, etc.).

Highlights

  • animal exhibit: You can see a wide variety of animals, including lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, and penguins. There are also exhibition zones with rare specimens and themes, making it ideal for observation and photography.
  • Interaction Corner: There is a space where you can interact with small animals, making it popular with families with children (please check the facility guide for opening times and target ages).
  • Amusement park area: There are attractions ranging from merry-go-rounds for children and family-friendly attractions to thrilling rides like roller coasters. There are also plans such as unlimited ride passes.
