Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Tokyo Big Sight (officially known as Tokyo International Exhibition Center) is one of Japan's largest convention and exhibition facilities, located in Ariake, Koto Ward, Tokyo. It is a hub for hosting a wide range of domestic and international trade fairs, exhibitions, academic conferences, and events (from commercial events to doujinshi sales events), and its distinctive inverted pyramid-shaped "Conference Tower (Symbolic Building)" is its landmark. Located at a transportation hub in the metropolitan area, it features commercial exhibition space, conference rooms, and outdoor spaces, and is known as a trendsetting hub for the industry. It was also used as a facility related to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Rinkai Line: Kokusai-Tenjijo Station (nearest station, about a 7-minute walk) — Easily accessible from JR lines, and convenient for transferring from Tokyo Station and Shinjuku.
- Yurikamome: Tokyo Big Sight Station (close to the venue, just a few minutes' walk) - Direct access from Odaiba.
- Approximate travel time from major stations:
- From Tokyo Station: Approximately 25-35 minutes (varies depending on transfers)
- From Shinjuku Station: Approximately 30-45 minutes
- From Haneda Airport: Approximately 40-60 minutes (train/monorail + transfer)
- Buses: Special buses and shuttle buses may operate during large-scale events. Please check official information.
- By car: Parking is limited and may be limited or full depending on the event, so we recommend using public transportation.

- General exhibitions and trade shows: 2-4 hours (depending on the level of interest and scale)
- Large events, Comic Market, etc.: Half a day to the whole day (due to waiting times and the large venue)
- Business purposes (business meetings and lectures): half a day to one day
Nearby spots
- Odaiba area: Rainbow Bridge, Odaiba Seaside Park, shopping malls (DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, etc.) - easily accessible from the venue and convenient for sightseeing.
- Ariake area: Convenient for business use, with a concentration of hotels and conference facilities.
- TeamLab-related facilities and entertainment venues (depending on the event, they may be held nearby) - please check the opening hours in advance.
Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: During popular events, there will be long queues to enter, crowds inside the venue, and lines at the food and drink booths. We recommend arriving early and checking the meeting place in advance.
- What to bring/luggage: There are limited coin lockers, so it is safer to leave large luggage at your accommodation or use a locker service in advance. Depending on the venue, there may be restrictions on what you can bring in.
- Photography and Handling of Exhibits: Whether photography is permitted and the range of photography varies depending on the event and exhibitor. When taking photos, please be considerate of your surroundings and follow the instructions of staff and exhibitors.
- Cosplay and doujin event etiquette: Follow the guidelines set by the event organizer, such as where to change into your costume and rules for taking photos.
- Climate/season: You may be waiting outdoors, so please take measures to protect yourself from the heat in summer (by drinking plenty of water and wearing a hat, etc.) and from the cold in winter. Bring an umbrella or rain gear in case of rain.
- Infection prevention measures: Please check the official website or organizer's information for the latest infection prevention measures, such as wearing masks, disinfecting your hands, and refraining from attending if you are feeling unwell.
- Check traffic information: There may be traffic restrictions and special timetables in place around the venue. For safety, it is best to check train and bus schedules and congestion on the way home in advance.
