Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Tokyo Dome (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo) is a large, all-weather dome stadium nicknamed "Big Egg" that opened in March 1988. In addition to being known as the home stadium of the professional baseball team, Yomiuri Giants, it also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including large-scale concerts by domestic and international artists, trade fairs, exhibitions, and martial arts tournaments. One of its great attractions is that it is indoors, so events can be held rain or shine regardless of the season. The surrounding area, known as "Tokyo Dome City," is an entertainment area where you can enjoy the day, with commercial facilities, hot springs, an amusement park, a hotel, and more.

Nearby spots
- Koishikawa Korakuen: A feudal lord's garden from the Edo period. Beautiful scenery in all four seasons (within walking distance).
- Bunkyo Civic Center: Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the observation lobby (free).
- The Suidobashi/Korakuen area's restaurant district: Convenient for meals before and after a match.

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: Train stations and surrounding areas will be extremely crowded during popular games and large concerts. Please plan your travels taking into account the operation status of public transport and the rush hour for people returning home. Even events without tickets will cause crowds in the surrounding area.
- Admission restrictions and baggage inspections: Depending on the event, baggage inspections and prohibited items may be required before entry. Please check the official information in advance.
- Seating and re-entry: Most seats are reserved, and standing or occupying the aisles is considered bad manners. Re-entry rules vary by event, so be sure to check.
- Photography and recording: Photography and recording may be prohibited at concerts, etc. Please follow the instructions.
- Weather and Clothing: The dome is indoors, but be aware of the weather when you visit (hot in summer, cold in winter). It can get crowded and you may have to stand for long periods of time, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.

- Parking/Traffic Congestion: If you come by car, there is a high possibility of traffic jams and parking lots being full, so we recommend using public transportation.
