Heiwadai Park is a public park located on a hill in Miyazaki City, and is a place of relaxation developed with the hope of "peace." Equipped with a large lawn, walking paths, playground equipment, and benches, it is popular with families, walkers, and picnickers. There is an observation spot that takes advantage of the hilltop location, and on clear days you can see Miyazaki city and the Pacific Ocean in the distance (views may vary depending on the weather and location). The park is also attractive for its seasonal scenery, with seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms and azaleas in the spring, and autumn leaves.

- Observation Plaza: A great vantage point overlooking the city and the sea. Perfect for taking photos and relaxing.
- Lawn Square/Picnic Area: Spread out a picnic blanket and relax on the spacious lawn (please follow the rules regarding the use of fire).
- Playground equipment and walking trails: There are playground equipment for children and shady walking trails, so you can enjoy a light hike.
- Seasonal flowers: Cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring, and beautiful greenery from early summer to summer, allowing you to enjoy observing nature throughout the seasons.
- Benches and rest areas: You can relax in the rest areas scattered throughout the park. Many of them are designed with consideration for the elderly and families with children.
Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Nearest station: Miyazaki Station (the main station in the center of Miyazaki City). From the station, it is convenient to travel by bus, taxi, or car.
- Bus: Accessible by local bus such as Miyazaki Kotsu. Routes and bus stop names change depending on the season, so please check the timetable and route in advance.
- By car: Approximately 10-20 minutes from the city center (depending on traffic conditions). Parking is available within the park or nearby, but please note that there are limited spaces available, so if it is crowded, please use a nearby paid parking lot.
- Taxi: Taking a taxi from Miyazaki Station is convenient and takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
- Bicycle: It is easy to get to by bicycle from the city center, so it is recommended to visit while cycling.

- Florante Miyazaki: A theme park of flowers and greenery where you can enjoy events and seasonal flowers.
- This can be combined with a visit to the Miyazaki Prefectural Museum and the commercial area in the city center: Heiwadai Park.
Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: During the cherry blossom season in spring, long weekends, and consecutive holidays, the park may become crowded and the parking lot may fill up. Please consider arriving early or using public transportation.
- Manners: Take your trash home or dispose of it in designated areas. Follow the park rules when using barbecues or fires. Avoid picking plants or causing significant damage to the grass.
- Weather and UV rays: As the area is at high altitude, the sun can be very strong on some days, so please bring a hat, drinks, and sunscreen.
- Insect protection: In the summer, there may be a lot of mosquitoes and other insects. We recommend using insect repellent spray and wearing long sleeves.
- Check barrier-free access and facilities: If you are using a wheelchair or stroller, it is a good idea to check the entrance and toilet facilities in advance.
