Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Koganei Park (Koganei City, Tokyo) is a metropolitan park with vast green spaces and a variety of facilities. Developed as part of the postwar trend toward urban greening, it has become a popular place for citizens to relax, as well as for sports and culture. The park features a large lawn, walking paths, a pond, and groves, and visitors can enjoy the natural beauty of cherry blossoms, fresh greenery, and autumn leaves throughout the seasons. The Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum located within the park is particularly popular as an open-air museum featuring relocated and restored buildings from the Edo to Showa periods, and is a popular destination for many visitors who visit both the park and the park.
