Tsukechi Gorge is a scenic valley located in Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture. It is characterized by the beauty of a deep valley carved by clear streams carving out granite and boulders, and is an attractive natural landscape that combines the clear river, oddly shaped rocks, cliffs, and the sound of the stream. It has long been a popular spot for locals to go mountain stream fishing, splash around in the water, and visit waterfalls. The entire valley is particularly vibrant in the autumn foliage season, attracting many tourists.

*Please note that there are few public transport services from Nakatsugawa Station to Tsukechi Gorge, so please check in advance. - Bus: There are local buses that run on limited schedules depending on the season and day of the week. During the tourist season, there may be special buses or shuttles, so please check the operating information.
- By car: Approximately 40-60 minutes (depending on traffic conditions) via national and prefectural roads from Nakatsugawa-Ena IC on the Chuo Expressway. Parking is available at each tourist spot (some are paid and some are free).
- Renting a car or taking your own car is the most convenient option. Taking a taxi is also practical, but please check the round-trip fare and waiting time.

- Crowds: Crowds and traffic jams can occur during the autumn foliage season (late October to mid-November). We recommend leaving early in the morning and checking public transport information.
- Public Transportation: Buses run infrequently, so please check the timetable and operating days in advance. Traveling by car is more convenient.
- Safety precautions: There are some slippery areas on the rocky areas and walking paths. Wear comfortable walking shoes (such as trekking shoes) and be especially careful in rainy weather.
- Caution when playing in the river: There are areas with strong currents and deep water. Wear a life jacket and keep an eye on children. It is dangerous to enter the water after drinking alcohol.
