• Public transportation: The most common route is to take the nearest JR line (such as the Geibi Line) to a station in the mountains, and then take a local bus or taxi to the entrance to Sandankyo Gorge. Local buses run infrequently, so be sure to check the timetable in advance.
• Sightseeing bus tours: On weekends and during peak tourist seasons, there are day trips departing from Hiroshima. If public transportation is inconvenient, using a tour is a convenient option.
