Momijidani Suspension Bridge (Nasu Town, Nasu District, Tochigi Prefecture)
Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Momijidani Suspension Bridge is a pedestrian-only suspension bridge that spans the valley of the Nasu Highlands, and is a tourist spot where you can enjoy the natural scenery of the four seasons up close. From the bridge, you can get a panoramic view of the stream flowing through the valley floor and the forest on the opposite bank, and in the fall, the leaves turn a stunning color, as the name "Momiji Valley" suggests. It is connected to walking paths and observation spots, making it ideal for casual hiking and photography. It was built with the aim of revitalizing the region and promoting tourism, and its appeal lies in the scenery that blends in with nature.
