Notojima Aquarium is a community-based aquarium located on Noto Island in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It offers a variety of programs that allow visitors to see, touch, and learn about the creatures that represent the rich ocean of the Noto Peninsula. The aquarium boasts a wide range of indoor exhibits, making it a great place to visit rain or shine, whatever the season. It's popular with families and individual travelers alike, with a large aquarium that recreates the local Noto sea, a touching pool, jellyfish exhibits, and performances by dolphins and sea lions. There's also an explanation and hands-on corner introducing the local nature and fishing culture, allowing visitors to enjoy both sightseeing and learning at the same time.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Nearest train station: You can use major stations on the JR Nanao Line and Noto Railway heading towards Nanao (e.g. Nanao Station, Wakura Onsen Station). From the stations, it is common to access the area by bus or taxi.
- bus: Shuttle buses and route buses bound for Notojima or directly to the aquarium may operate from Nanao Station, Wakura Onsen Station, etc. (Times and operating days vary depending on the season, so it is recommended to check in advance.)
- car: Cross the Notojima Bridge to Notojima. It usually takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half from downtown Kanazawa (depending on traffic). There is a parking lot at the aquarium.
- taxi: Approximately 15-30 minutes by taxi from Nanao Station or Wakura Onsen Station (varies depending on distance and traffic conditions).

- congestion: Weekends, summer vacation, Golden Week, and long weekends tend to be busy, and parking lots and show seats may fill up quickly. If possible, we recommend arriving early in the morning or visiting on a weekday.
- MannersPlease be considerate of other visitors and animals by not knocking on the glass exhibits, following staff instructions when feeding, refraining from eating or drinking in any area other than designated areas, and following signs that prohibit flash photography in some exhibits.
- Seasonal precautionsOutdoor programs (shows, etc.) may be changed or canceled due to weather conditions. Outdoor exhibits and services may be scaled down during the winter, so please check the official website in advance.
