Takamatsu Symbol Tower is a representative landmark towering over the seaside area of Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture (around Sunport Takamatsu). Located close to the city center and Takamatsu Port (ferry terminal), it is a complex building housing offices, commercial facilities, and restaurants, making it the face of the area. Its attractive location overlooking the port, the Seto Inland Sea, and the surrounding islands makes it a great base for tourists visiting Takamatsu.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Nearest station
- Kotoden (Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railway) Takamatsu-Chikko Station: A few minutes' walk. This is the closest station as it is directly connected to the Sunport Takamatsu area.
- JR Takamatsu Station: Approximately 10 minutes on foot (depending on walking pace). You can reach the station by taking the walk that connects the city center and the port.
- Buses and Ferries: As the hotel is close to Takamatsu Port (Sunport), there are ferry and high-speed boat terminals to various islands such as Naoshima and Shodoshima nearby, making it convenient for travelling around the islands.
- By car: There is a well-maintained access road to the center of Takamatsu City. There are paid parking lots around the building and near Sunport, but they may fill up during peak tourist seasons and events, so we recommend using public transportation.
- Airport: From Takamatsu Airport, you can access the city (Sunport) by limousine bus or rental car. Travel time varies depending on the means of transportation, so please check in advance.

- Short visit (30 minutes to 1 hour): A short visit to enjoy the view, the cafe, or take photos of the surrounding area.
- Standard (1-2 hours): A stay that includes thoroughly enjoying the view, eating and drinking within the facility, and strolling around the surrounding area (around Takamatsu Port, Tamamo Park, etc.).
- Combine with sightseeing in the surrounding area (half a day to a full day): If you are going to Naoshima, Teshima, or Shodoshima by ferry, or if you are combining it with other spots in the city such as Ritsurin Garden and Yashima, it is a good idea to allow half a day to a full day.

- Tamamo Park (Takamatsu Castle Ruins): A castle ruins garden facing the sea. It is within walking distance of the symbol tower and is perfect for a historical stroll.
- Takamatsu Port (Sunport): A ferry terminal with access to Naoshima, Shodoshima, Teshima, etc. A base for island hopping.
- Ritsurin Garden: A representative daimyo garden of Takamatsu, it is a popular tourist spot. It is a little far away, but can be accessed by city transport.
- Yashima: A hill with observation spots and historical sites. The view of the Seto Inland Sea, especially the sunset, is popular.
- Shopping streets and areas (Marugamemachi Shopping Street, etc.): City areas where you can enjoy shopping and eating and drinking.
Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: On weekends, holidays, during the summer tourist season, and during events such as the Setouchi Triennale, the surrounding transportation, ferries, and the museum itself can be crowded. Please allow yourself plenty of time or consider visiting earlier on a weekday.
- Observation space opening hours: The opening hours for the observation floor and stores vary depending on the facility. If you are planning to see the night view or have breakfast, please check the opening hours in advance.
- Poor visibility due to weather: The view over the ocean is subject to weather and meteorological conditions. On days with poor visibility, you may not be able to see the scenery you were hoping for.
- Manners: The building is a public space. Please be considerate of others when taking photos, walking, eating and drinking, and be courteous. In particular, there are some stores and event venues within the facility where photography is prohibited.
- Countermeasures against heat and cold: The Setouchi region experiences strong humidity and sunlight in summer, and the sea breeze can be chilly in winter. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the season and stay hydrated.
