Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Maiko Park (Tarumi Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) is a seaside urban park offering a close-up view of the Akashi Strait and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (one of the world's longest suspension bridges). It has long been a popular recreational spot, and its greatest attraction is its stunning panoramic view of the sea and bridge. The park is equipped with basic facilities such as walking paths, a grassy area, benches, and restrooms, and is popular with photography enthusiasts and tourists for its beautiful seasonal views (cherry blossoms, the summer sea, the clear winter skies) and sunsets.

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: It tends to get crowded on weekends and public holidays, especially at sunset and during cherry blossom season. Parking lots also tend to fill up quickly, so we recommend using public transportation.
- Safety/Wind: The beach can be windy on some days, so be careful not to let your hat or belongings fly away. Also, be careful of slippery areas.
- Facility usage: Maiko Marine Promenade may require a fee or time-based entry, so be sure to check opening hours, fees, and whether reservations are required in advance.
- Manners: Take your trash with you. There may be restrictions on the use of fire, so follow the rules. If you have pets, please keep them on a leash and be considerate of others.
- Seasonal clothing: The sea breeze can make the temperature feel lower, so it's a good idea to bring a jacket, especially in the evenings of spring and autumn, and in winter.
