This Sengoku period mountain castle has an impressive black-painted castle tower that has been designated a national treasure. It has retained its Edo period appearance well, and you can enjoy the history and scenery through the exhibits inside and outside, as well as the surrounding moat and gardens.

It is about a 15-minute walk from JR Matsumoto Station. You can also take the city loop bus or taxi. There are paid parking facilities nearby.
