Koami Shrine is a small parishioner shrine located in the Nihonbashi/Ningyocho area of Chuo Ward, Tokyo, and has a tradition dating back to the Edo period. It is widely worshipped for business prosperity, good luck, protection from evil, and financial fortune. The grounds, surrounded by city buildings, retain a tranquil, green atmosphere and are like an urban oasis, making it an appealing spot. There are anecdotes about how the shrine escaped war damage and legends surrounding the shrine building, and visitors come to pray in hopes of receiving blessings such as "being granted good luck" or "gaining good fortune by washing money."
