Sumata Gorge is a valley located in Kawanehon Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, and is a popular tourist destination with its natural scenery, created by deep forests and clear streams. Among these is the Dream Suspension Bridge, a wooden suspension bridge set against a backdrop of sparkling emerald-green streams and fresh greenery and autumn foliage. Its photogenic scenery makes it a prime example of Japan's most beautiful suspension bridges. - By train: Senzu Station, the terminus of the Oigawa Railway, is the nearest major access point (connected to JR stations).
- Bus/Taxi: From Senzu Station, take a local bus, municipal bus, or taxi to the entrance to Sumatakyo Onsen. From there, walk along the promenade to the bridge.
- car:
- Take the Tomei and Shin-Tomei Expressways towards Shimada Kanaya, then take the national and prefectural roads to Kawanehon Town. There is a parking lot (limited spaces) around Sumata Gorge, but it may fill up during peak hours, so it is best to arrive early.
- Note: Routes and frequency may vary depending on the season and day of the week, so please check the Oigawa Railway and Kawane Town transportation information in advance.

- Viewing the suspension bridge only: Approximately 1-2 hours including round trip travel time (including taking photos and strolling around the area).
- If you include a visit to the hot springs and a stroll around the area: half a day to a full day. We recommend staying overnight and exploring the area leisurely from early morning to late evening.
