Miyajidake Shrine is a historic shrine located in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which has long been worshipped as the guardian deity of the region and the protector of maritime safety. The shrine is attractive for its majestic main shrine building, the approach to the sea, and the coastal scenery. In particular, the "Path of Light" that appears from winter to spring and autumn (the sight of the setting sun stretching out in a straight line along the approach) has become famous nationwide, attracting many worshippers and photography enthusiasts. - Train + Walking/Bus/Taxi: The nearest JR station is Fukuma Station (JR Kagoshima Main Line). From Fukuma Station, it's about a 10-minute taxi ride or a 20-30 minute walk. Local buses and special shuttles may also operate from the station, so please check the timetable before visiting.
- By car: It generally takes about 30 to 50 minutes from central Fukuoka (Hakata) (depending on road conditions). There is a parking lot for visitors around the shrine (it may be crowded and require a fee during peak seasons).

- Crowds: The area gets extremely crowded during the Path of Light period (usually around February and October), New Year's visits to the shrine, and festival days. Parking lots may fill up and traffic restrictions may be put in place, so we recommend using public transportation and arriving early.
- Photography etiquette: At popular photography spots, please be considerate of other visitors by using tripods and flashes. Please observe basic etiquette, such as not blocking other people's views and not entering restricted areas. As a general rule, the use of drones is often prohibited, so please check in advance.
- Worship etiquette: Please observe the usual shrine etiquette, such as bowing at the torii gate, purifying your hands at the temizuya (purification fountain), and ringing the bell before praying. Please also obey any no-photography or no-trespassing signs in the shrine office.
