Daiyuzan Saijoji Temple is a historic mountain temple located in Minamiashigara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Commonly known as "Daiyuzan (Doryoson)," it is characterized by its cedar-lined approach to the temple, its imposing mountain gate, and the grounds centered around the main hall. It has long attracted local worshippers, and there is a constant stream of pilgrims praying for traffic safety, business prosperity, and protection from evil. - Peripheral combinations:It is easy to incorporate into sightseeing routes from Hakone (Hakone-Yumoto, Odawara) or Gotemba, and many people visit it in addition to sightseeing in Hakone.

- congestion:During the autumn foliage season, the New Year holidays, and festival and event days, the parking lot and approach to the shrine can become crowded with many visitors. If you want to avoid the crowds, it's best to visit early in the morning or in the evening on a weekday.
- Clothing and footwear:The temple grounds have stone steps and unpaved paths, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. In rainy weather, some areas can be slippery.
- Visiting etiquette:Please observe temple etiquette, such as proper manners in the main hall (how to wash your hands, how to clap and bow), whether photography is permitted, and maintaining quietness within the temple grounds. Please be especially quiet during memorial services and sutra chanting.
