Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Mitsuike Park is a comprehensive park located in Tsurumi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and its greatest feature, as its name suggests, is the "three ponds" scattered throughout the park. It is a place of relaxation for local residents where they can enjoy the natural scenery and flowers and trees of every season, and is particularly known for its cherry blossoms in spring, making it one of the prefecture's most famous sights. Historically, the surrounding rice paddies and enclaves were developed into parks, and the preserved green spaces are home to exercise facilities, walking paths, and spacious lawns. Its appeal lies in the opportunity to relax and enjoy nature close to the city, and it is a popular spot for a wide range of activities, including family strolls, photography, and jogging.

Highlights
- Cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino, etc.): The scenery with the rows of cherry blossom trees planted in the park and the pond in the background is spectacular. A cherry blossom festival is held in the spring, attracting many visitors. There are also years when the park is lit up at night (please check whether it is being held).
- Three Ponds: From the walking path around the ponds, you can observe the trees and waterfowl reflected on the water's surface. There are many photo spots where you can enjoy the tranquil natural scenery.
- Flowers and trees of the four seasons: There are seasonal attractions such as cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in spring, fresh greenery and hydrangeas in early summer, and autumn leaves.
– Sports facilities and open spaces: There are multi-purpose open spaces, athletic fields, tennis courts, and other facilities, making them convenient for sports and picnics (advance application or reservations may be required).
– Children's play equipment: There are play equipment for small children and a grassy area where families can relax.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)
- Train + Walk: The nearest station is Mitsuike Park Station (JR Tsurumi Line), and it is just a few minutes' walk from the station to the park entrance. From JR Tsurumi Station, you can access the park by bus or taxi (the number of buses and travel time may vary depending on the time of day).
- Bus: Local buses may operate from JR Tsurumi Station, Tokyu Toyoko Line, and Yokohama. Please check the latest timetables and routes before boarding.
- By car: Paid parking is available in and around the park, but it tends to fill up on weekends and during cherry blossom season, so we recommend using public transportation.
- Bicycles: There are bicycle parking spaces in and around the park, but you may have to wait to park your bicycle when it is crowded. Please follow the bicycle riding rules.

Estimated stay (estimated time required)
- Quick walk: 30 minutes to 1 hour (a short course around the pond)
- Take your time to look around: 1.5 to 3 hours (including flowers, photography, and bench breaks)
– Activity-focused (sports use, picnics): half-day to full-day (including facility use and outdoor lunch)
The length of stay varies greatly depending on the season and events (such as the Cherry Blossom Festival).

Nearby spots
– Around Tsurumi Station: There are shopping streets, restaurants, and shopping spots, making it convenient for eating and shopping before or after visiting the park.
– Shin-Yokohama area (approximately 15-20 minutes by car): Tourist and sports facilities such as the Ramen Museum and Nissan Stadium.
– Tsurumi River riverbed: There are walking paths and cycling courses along the river, making it a great place to extend your nature walk.
(Public transportation and travel times vary depending on the departure point, so please check the route according to your destination.)

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
– Crowds: It gets very crowded during the cherry blossom season, on weekends, and on sunny days. The parking lot fills up easily, so if you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend visiting early in the morning or on a weekday.
- Manners: Please take your trash with you, keep your pets on a leash and clean up after them, and be mindful of your behavior so as not to cause trouble to other visitors.
- Use of fire: Barbecues and open fires are often prohibited, so please check the park's rules before using fire.
- Use of bicycles and playground equipment: Bicycles may be restricted in some areas of the park. Please follow safety regulations when using playground equipment and keep an eye on children.
- Weather and clothing: The area around the pond can get windy and muddy on some days, so we recommend wearing non-slip shoes and rain gear.
- Wildlife protection: Feeding or collecting plants or aquatic creatures is often prohibited. Please respect the natural environment.
– Check the latest information: For the latest information on events such as the Cherry Blossom Festival, how to reserve facilities (tennis courts, etc.), and parking information, please check the official city and park websites.

If necessary, we will look up and add the latest data such as access timetables, parking space availability, and predicted cherry blossom viewing times. Please let us know if you have any requests.
