Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Ningle Terrace is a walking spot with a series of small wooden cottages (handmade workshops and shops) lined up in the woods near the New Furano Prince Hotel in Furano, Hokkaido. Dozens of huts are dotted along the forest paths, each selling crafts made with Hokkaido materials and the sensibility of their makers, such as furniture, glass, pottery, accessories, and candles. The scenery that blends in with nature throughout the seasons and the fantastic atmosphere that is colored at dusk and with illuminations in winter are its major attractions. Admission is generally free, so you can drop in casually as if you were taking a stroll.
