Tokyo Gate Bridge is a large truss bridge spanning the north side of Tokyo Bay, connecting the Wakasu side of Koto Ward in Tokyo with reclaimed land in the waterfront area. Since its provisional opening in 2012, it has become known as a new landmark of the bay area. The bridge is also affectionately known as the "Dinosaur Bridge" because its cross section resembles the back of a dinosaur, and is characterized by its powerful truss structure.

The bridge's height and shape were carefully designed to allow for the passage of large ships, and it is not only suitable for car traffic, but also offers panoramic views of Tokyo Bay, planes landing at Haneda Airport, and the night view of Odaiba and downtown Tokyo from the observation spaces on both ends. As a bridge in the city, it has a strong visual impact and is a popular photo spot.

Access (nearest station, transportation, etc.)

• Nearest station: Shin-Kiba Station on the JR Keiyo Line, Rinkai Line, and Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line.
• From Shin-Kiba Station: Access by bus, taxi, or rental bicycle (bus routes and times change depending on the season, so it is recommended to check in advance).
• By car: Accessible via the Shuto Expressway Bayshore Route. There is a parking lot on the Wakasu Seaside Park side, from which you can head to the observation deck (check the parking lot's opening hours and fees in advance).
• Bicycle/walking: We also recommend combining your visit with the cycling roads around Wakasu and the walking paths along the sea.
• Note: There are pedestrian viewing facilities around the bridge, but the roadway is for vehicles only. There may be sections where you cannot walk the entire bridge and there may be restrictions on entry.

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)

• On windy days and in winter, the temperature will feel lower, so please take measures to protect yourself from the cold and wind. When winds are strong, access may be restricted and traffic warnings may be issued.
• The observation deck and surrounding parking lots and parks can get crowded on weekends and in the evenings. If you want to take your time taking photos and enjoying the view, we recommend going on a weekday or early in the day.
• There are no-entry areas and port-related restricted areas around the bridge. Please follow the instructions on fences and signs and do not enter the restricted areas.
• At night, some areas are dimly lit, so please be careful where you step. When taking night photos, please check the rules for using a tripod and be considerate to other visitors.
• Please take your trash with you and follow the rules of surrounding facilities (such as no-smoking areas). Don't forget to be considerate of wildlife and the natural environment.
• Transportation and facility operation and opening times are subject to change. Please check official information and local guides before visiting.

Note: You can capture impressive views by timing your photo shoot at the best spots and views (from dusk to night when the lights are on, or when planes are taking off and landing). Please be mindful of safety and good manners as you enjoy the bay scenery.
