Overview (history, characteristics, attractions)
Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium is a large public aquarium located in the Nagoya Port Garden Pier area of Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Known as a facility for exhibiting, conserving, and educating about marine life, the aquarium introduces the diverse world of the ocean through a variety of tanks, including large and small ones, a marine mammal pool, interactive exhibits, and special exhibitions. Its distinctive features include the ability to enjoy schooling exhibits in large, three-dimensional tanks, dolphin and marine mammal performances, and a strong focus on research and conservation. It's a popular spot for families, couples, and as a learning field for schools.
