Oita Marine Palace Aquarium "Umitamago" is a popular aquarium located along Beppu Bay in Oita City, Oita Prefecture. Since opening in 1999, the aquarium has exhibited mainly creatures from the waters off Kyushu, and also focuses on educational and conservation activities. Taking advantage of its location facing the bay, the aquarium boasts a large aquarium, dolphin and sea lion shows, a touch pool and other hands-on programs, making it a facility that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Along with the nearby Takasakiyama Natural Zoo, the aquarium is also known as a tourist hub where visitors can experience nature and animals.

- The nearest major stations are JR Oita Station and JR Beppu Station, both of which are accessible by public transport.
- Bus: Take a local bus such as Oita Bus from Oita Station or Beppu Station bound for "Umitamago" or "Takasakiyama." The journey time is approximately 25-30 minutes from Oita Station and approximately 15-20 minutes from Beppu Station (this may vary depending on the time of day and route).
