Sakura Castle Ruins Park is an urban park located in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture, that makes use of the ruins of a castle. During the Edo period, the site was the residence of the Sakura Domain, and remains of the castle, such as moats and earthworks, remain. The park is equipped with large lawns, forests, and walking paths, and is known for its beautiful cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage, making it a popular spot for local walks and picnics.

Things to be aware of (crowds, manners, seasonal precautions, etc.)
- Crowds: The area is especially crowded during the cherry blossom viewing season (late March to early April). On weekends and sunny days, the parking lot and area around the station can get crowded, so we recommend using public transportation or coming early in the morning or evening.
- Manners: The park is a public space. Please take your trash with you and follow the rules as there are many areas where open flames (such as barbecues) are prohibited. If you have pets, please keep them on a leash and be sure to dispose of their waste.
- Facility information: There are toilets and rest areas, but please allow yourself plenty of time as they can get crowded on weekends and during peak tourist seasons.
- Seasonal precautions: Take precautions against insects (mosquitoes) and heat in summer, and cold weather in winter. On rainy days, the dirt roads can become muddy in places, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes.
- Photography/Drones: Commercial photography and drone flying within parks may be restricted. Please check the city or park manager's rules in advance.
Note: Detailed facility information (opening hours, number of parking spaces, event information, etc.) may change depending on the season and year. Please check the Sakura City official website or local guide for the latest information before visiting.
